  • We have 3 children who have attended Child of God. When they shadowed here, we picked them up and our daughter smiled big and said, "I love it here." We have been very happy with how our children have learned and grown academically. One of our children struggled in math and didn't like it until they started at COG and they began to like Math and thrive at it . Their test scores were good before but improved each year. They've really done great here. Two of them have graduated from COG and were well prepared for high school. They've made great friends and have developed socially as well. We are thankful for teachers and staff who care for them and encourage them and share Christ with them.

  • We have had 3 children at this school. Two of them have moved on to high school and one is still in Middle School there. We have been very pleased with their school. It is small and every child is known by the staff and their needs are tailored to help them pastor is active on the campus and really cares about each child and really gets to know and connects with them. We are not Lutheran and were welcomed with open arms. Academically our experience is that our children were very well prepared for the rigors of high school across a wide range of subjects. While they were at COG School their individual test scores improved every year.

Elementary and Middle School is not just about academics but our children have been able to thrive in a safe Christian environment where they felt safe and cared for. Happy with our choice.

  • We started attending Child of God last year. My son has social issues. Everyone made sure he was taken care of and that he was comfortable. My daughter had issues with reading. Now she is reading chapter books. Both of my children need special help. They get that help at Child of God. We are so grateful that we joined this school, community, and family. I know my children are well cared for. They are getting the best education. When I have concerns, my concerns are taken seriously and addressed. My children are my life. I want to provide them with the best education and community. That is Child of God! We take care of each other. It is not just a school. We are a family.

  • This is my daughters 6th year at COG and we LOVE this school. The teachers are committed to educational excellence. In addition to the academic education and equally important to us they are building a strong faith and character in our daughter. The pastor, principal and staff are wonderful and easy to work with. We enjoy the personal attention and close relationships that come with the smaller class sizes but also love to see the school growing. My daughters class size has grown over the years. We appreciate the efforts to develop the extra curricular sports and the chance for our daughter to learn good sportsmanship and teamwork. My mom attends various events and volunteers on occasion and as a grandparent feels very welcome and a part of the school family. I realize that each families experience is different based on their children and their involvement at the school but ours has been positive. We knew from our first school tour this was the best school for our daughter and over the years we have never doubted our decision.

  • I would give Child of God Lutheran School a rating of 5 stars. I have a grandchild in the school who has gone there since kindergarten. I have had many opportunities to see first hand how the school as whole conducts itself with regard to student interaction, parent interaction, business principles, community, and spiritual issues. I believe they have the correct guidelines in place to make the school a great success. They are growing and expanding their services each and every year. I will say that no school religious or otherwise is a substitute for good parenting. I believe COGs goal is to help parents in raising well balanced productive young adults who are equipped in all aspects of life. When choosing a school for your family I believe it is important to remember that all schools have one thing in common; it's still school and they are still kids. There will always be issues and problems that arise. I believe COG does a great job of handling those aspects of school. I highly recommend them.
